Team
Drifting Series Standings
Team Drifting will consist of a minimum of 3 cars and a
maximum of 6 cars. A section on the forums will be created
to post your team and your members. Drivers can only
participate in one team the day of competition. A driver can
switch teams but, he/she will only be allowed to compete
with one team the day of.
The series will consist of 5 competitions minimum, maybe
more. The goal is to end the series with two or three teams
with exceptional tandem skills, and bragging rights. In the
future we may end up with team drifting in ProAm, maybe even
FD.
Teams
of 3 will be allowed to run without a cage.
Teams of 4 or more require cages in all cars.
If you have a team of 5 and not all have cages, you'll need
to pick the three that will compete that day. If you have 6
drivers with no cages, you'll need to split your team in
two. I.e.:
Team Understeer - A
Team Understeer - B
The
point system will be determined before the first event, and
posted. We will look for the following criteria's when
judging.
Initiation consistency
Distance between cars
Speed
Consistency in drift
Style (Bonus point given to cars with same color
and/or
graphic scheme)

We'd like to thank all our affiliates, they help us
facilitate our
events via, advertisings, event coverage, or staffing.
Without
this help, our events wouldn't run smoothly.
Drifting is basically, controlling an over-steer (rear-end
slides out), as you maneuver thru coarse. Keeping the
rear-end side ways with as much angle, without spinning out.
The objective is to start sliding before you get into the
turn, maintain the slide throughout the turn, and transition
to the next turn while the drivers maintains the
slide.
Here's an example of drifting and pro competition:
Welcome!
If you've never heard of us, let me introduce you to our
organization. Daily Drifter was formed in 2003 to help
drivers, drift in a controlled and safe environment. While
we know street drifting happens, we like to give all
the drivers a safer option. Our goal is to curb to the
amount of street drifting by offering a legal and safe
alternative.
Daily
Drifter organizes drift events supporting the Texas, Louisiana,
and Oklahoma region.
Our goal is to see the scene grown, in order to have
an event in your local area. If you're new to drifting don't
worry, the drivers love to see new faces. Check out our
forum, and don't hesitate to ask questions.

- I got bored and designed a little crest
for DD. Decals coming soon!
02/03/2008- March 09 2008 starts off the season for
Daily Drifter, and we're starting of the year with a bang!
(probably literally) This year our goal is to up the level
of drivers, and promote team drifting. As usual,
we'll start in Houston, head towards central Texas, and
visit Louisiana. In '07 we brought drifting to Houston MSR,
and drifted the full track at No Problem Raceway. We'll definitely have a repeat this year, and maybe hit
a new track later this year. So get your cars ready for a
new season!!
01/06/2008- We made it another year and we're happy
to see you guys are here with us.
In 2007 we formed a board, consisting of drivers from
our events. The objective is to allow the drivers to decide
what they'd like to see happen at our events. With that
being said, we've got some exciting things coming up for
2008.
Stay tuned for the 2008 schedule. We're working with venues
to get dates approved. I'm guessing our first event of the
year will be early Feb. So get your cars ready for another
great season!
